Mahal of Cambridge

I recently visited the Mahal restaurant with a group of students. The service and the eating space were both very good. However, the "student deals" were not deals at all. Indeed £12 brought very little food to the table (a minuscule appetizer, a small bowl of korma, or bhuna, etc. with one single piece of nan bread, a bit of rice, and a choice of drinks). To be frank, the food was hardly adequate to make up a meal. For little over half that price, one can purchase a full meal at most local restaurants in Cambridge. For many students, eating at such deluxe prices (not necessarily meals) is not an option.
